What it is
ADpak: Vintage Dead is an expansion pack for XLN Audio's Addictive Drums 2, built around a heavily dampened 1968 Ludwig kit recorded at Ingrid Studios in Stockholm. It ships as part of XLN Audio's ADpak library, which plugs directly into Addictive Drums 2 without any extra setup. The kit was refurbished by session drummer Miikal Haggstrom and converted into concert toms without resonant heads, then dead-muted with tea cloths, moon gel, and gobo walls to kill ring and resonance. The result is a thumpy, ultra-tight drum sound with full mic-bleed control between close, overhead, and room mics.
