Augmented Persia is a hybrid virtual instrument from Arturia that blends deeply-sampled traditional Persian instruments - ney (winds), oud, tar, and saz (plucked), plus alto kamancheh and shah kaman (bowed) - with Arturia's synthesis engines: Virtual Analog, Granular, Wavetable, and Harmonic. Each preset layers two sound sources that can morph continuously between authentic acoustic timbres and modern electronic textures, so a plucked oud line can drift into a granular pad without ever leaving the same patch. It's part of Arturia's Augmented series, which pairs real-world instrument sampling with deep sound-design tools rather than treating them as separate worlds.
