B00GA

The deal

$39 at Loot Audio (down from $69). The sale runs through October 31, 2026.

What it is

B00GA is a micro-sound rhythm and tone generator from AudioThing, modeled on the look and feel of vintage test equipment like the Hewlett-Packard Word Generator 8006A. It pairs a dual sequencer with a noise synthesizer and a crossfading pulse sample player. It can produce anything from tight, minimal grooves to evolving drones and experimental textures.

Who it's for

Sound designers and electronic producers who want unusual rhythmic and tonal material that standard drum machines do not offer. It suits experimental, ambient, techno and film-scoring work, in the studio or live.

Key features

• The dual sequencer runs at variable speeds from 0.1 Hz to 5 kHz
• It includes 28 pulse banks with a crossfading sample player and a noise synthesizer for percussion and textures
• Four built-in effects are included: a passive octave bandpass filter, spring reverb, phaser and tape echo
• Each preset holds 8 patterns with step randomization, and it ships in VST2, VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP formats for macOS, Windows and Linux
