Chroma - Upright Piano is a Kontakt-based virtual instrument from Sonuscore built around a century-old upright piano, restored with new strings, felts, and mechanics to preserve its vintage, intimate character. Sonuscore layered a custom engine on top of the acoustic recordings that goes well past a standard piano patch, reshaping the source into felt, muted, plucked, flageolet, and bowed articulations, plus abstract, textural soundscapes.
