What it is
Evolve Dark Matter is a sample-based synthesizer from Excite Audio built around dark, dense sound sources. It layers samples and synth engines to produce moody, cinematic textures suited to drum and bass, atmospheric techno, and experimental electronic music.
Who it's for
Producers making dark, atmospheric electronic music who want a deep source of pads, textures, and evolving sounds. It suits sound designers who like to morph and mangle layers rather than scroll through static presets.
Key features
- A quad-layer engine blends samples or synth sources across 250 sound sources
- An XY pad handles morphing, backed by 12 modulation sources including envelopes and LFOs
- Four macro effects (Quanta, Entropy, Orbit, Infinite) and a dual-filter system with 16 additional effects shape the sound
- You can also import your own samples and use one-click randomization for fast ideas
