What it is
GRAND MARIMBA is a KONTAKT sample library by Soniccouture built from a five-octave Yamaha 6100 rosewood marimba - the same instrument model co-designed with marimba legend Keiko Abe. Recorded at 24-bit/96 kHz with up to 70 velocity layers and four playing techniques (mallet, stick, roll, and bow), it captures the warm, resonant attack and natural decay of an acoustic marimba in exceptional detail. The KSP Tremolo module intelligently remaps the instrument's characteristic resonator tube tremolo in real-time for expressive MIDI control.
