What it is
HitVerb is a convolution reverb built from impulse responses captured inside the real rooms at The Hit Factory's NYC and London studios, developed in partnership with Troy Germano, CEO of The Hit Factory Studios. Instead of modeling reverb algorithmically, it loads recordings of 12 actual spaces from those facilities, so the tails carry the character of the rooms that tracked decades of hit records. Mic type and placement are adjustable, letting you shift between a tight, close sound and a wide, roomy one without leaving the plugin.
Who it's for
Mixing and recording engineers who want studio-grade room and plate-style ambience on vocals, drums, and live instruments without stacking multiple algorithmic reverbs to get there.
Key features
- Choose between three modeled microphones - Neumann U67s, Coles 4038 ribbons, and Sennheiser MKH 800 Twins - for each room
- Adjust mic distance, height, and width to reshape the captured space in real time
- Low/high-cut filters, tail length control, and a carpet toggle shape the tone further
- Engineer-designed presets are included, and the plugin runs as AAX, AU, or VST3 on Mac and Windows with iLok activation
