Laura is a synthesizer plugin by Lost Synapse that combines four oscillator engines - wavetable, FM, analog-style, and fractal kernels - under a single signal path feeding into a shared filter and effects chain. The fractal engine is the standout section, generating timbres through six mathematical kernel types including Mandelbrot, Julia, Burning Ship, Tricorn, Multibrot, and Newton for harmonics that are difficult to achieve with any other synthesis method. The Filter+ section includes Lost Synapse's signature filter alongside a Sing wave-folder, adding further harmonic shaping before the signal reaches the 16-slot effects rack.
