What it is

Life is a sampling and beat-making instrument from XLN Audio. You capture sounds with companion mobile and DAW recorder apps, then slice and rearrange them into drum patterns and loops inside the plugin. AI-driven variation controls reshape the rhythms from what you recorded.

Who it's for

Beatmakers and producers who like building drums and loops from their own recordings. It suits anyone who wants to grab a sound on a phone or in the DAW and turn it into a groove quickly.

Key features

• The Field Recorder app for iOS and Android lets you sample on the go
• A DAW Recorder captures audio at high fidelity in the studio
• Density, Syncopation, and Symmetry controls generate variations of a beat
• It includes a built-in sequencer with filters and FX, and supports sample slicing and stem export in VST, AU, AAX, and standalone formats
