Materia is an additive re-synthesizer plugin from AudioThing. It analyzes an audio sample and breaks it into harmonic partials, which you can then reshape, modulate and play polyphonically as an instrument. It is a good fit for evolving pads, textures and unusual tones built from your own recordings.
