What it is
Orbis is a world synthesizer library built from four decades of field recordings collected by sonic explorer David Fanshawe across global cultures. It takes organic performances from rare instruments and voices and processes them through a bespoke eDNA synth engine into otherworldly textures. The library spans distorted loops, evolving pads, visceral one-shots, and sound design material from subsonic low-end to ethereal highs.
Who it's for
Film and TV composers and producers who need unusual cinematic textures beyond conventional orchestral libraries. It works especially well for exotic underscore, ambient music, and scoring that calls for global and cultural influences.
