What it is
Parametric Compressor is a frequency-selective dynamics processor from Parish Audio. Instead of splitting audio into fixed crossover bands like a typical multiband compressor, it lets you place up to 10 independent compressor bands anywhere across the spectrum, sized and overlapped however you like. Each band gets its own threshold, ratio, attack, release, makeup gain, frequency, and width controls, so you're compressing exactly the frequency range causing a problem rather than a whole fixed chunk of the mix.
