What it is
PuigTec EQs is a pair of passive tube EQ plugins modeled on two vintage Pultec units from producer/engineer Jack Joseph Puig's own collection: the EQP-1A and the MEQ-5. The EQP-1A recreates the famous trick of boosting and cutting the same low frequency simultaneously to create a wide, musical resonant shelf, while the MEQ-5 handles midrange shaping with the same passive-circuit warmth.
