What it is
RC-20 Retro Color is a multi-module saturation and character effect plugin from XLN Audio that simulates the imperfections and warmth of vintage recording equipment. It includes six parallel effect modules - noise (vinyl crackle and tape hiss), wobble and flutter for analog pitch inconsistencies, saturation with multiple distortion modes, digital degradation and bitcrushing, a reverb module, and a volume drop effect for tape wear simulation. Each module runs independently, and a global magnitude slider scales all active effects simultaneously so you can move from subtle warmth to heavy degradation in one move.
