What it is
Whistles is a Kontakt 7 sample library from Versilian Studios covering three instruments: high D, C, and low F whistle. It was built alongside The Recorder, Versilian's flagship wind library, using the same performer, recording space, and VISAGE 3 engine. The library covers more than a dozen articulations per instrument, including ornaments, two vibrato speeds, trills, and slides.

- The True Legato+ system records transitions without the double-crossfade shortcut used by many libraries, producing cleaner phrase connections
- Six mic positions were recorded using a hand-selected set of low-noise microphones with continuous blending via the VISAGE mixer
- Articulation depth includes trills with three velocity layers, velocity-triggered attacks on sustain notes, and 2-6 round robins
- The MIRAGE FX panel exposes Kontakt 7's built-in effects chain with preset support
