Xpand!2 is a multitimbral workstation plugin from AIR Music Tech, originally built into Pro Tools' Creative Collection before going standalone. It layers up to four independent sound "parts" per patch using wavetables, FM synthesis, and sample playback, and ships with thousands of ready-to-play patches covering synths, basses, keys, drums, and orchestral sounds sorted into 29 categories.
