What it is

6034 Ultimate MB HD v7 is a multi-band dynamics processor from McDSP. It puts the compression, expansion, and gate modules from the company's 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip into a four-band crossover network. That lets you shape each frequency range separately instead of squeezing the whole signal at once.

Who it's for

Mixing and mastering engineers who need precise control over dynamics in different frequency bands. It suits producers who want to tame a boomy low end, control harsh upper mids, or glue a full mix together.

Key features

• Compression, expansion, and gate modules are taken from McDSP's 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip
• A four-band crossover offers adjustable filter slope options
• You can audition each module in real time while you work
• It includes analog saturation modeling and double precision processing with low latency, in mono and stereo versions
