What it is
Acoustica 8 Premium is Acon Digital's standalone audio editor and plugin suite, built for post-production, dialogue cleanup, restoration, and mastering. It handles stereo and multitrack editing up to 32-bit/384kHz, with spectral editing that lets you visually isolate and remove noise, clicks, or unwanted sounds much like retouching a photo. The Premium edition adds up to 7.1.2 surround/immersive audio support and Acon's AI-driven Extract:Dialogue 2 tool for separating voice from background noise.
Who it's for
Podcast editors, dialogue and sound editors working in film and TV post-production, and audio engineers who need to clean up, restore, or master problem recordings without juggling a separate plugin for every task.
Key features
- The full Dialogue Cleaning Suite (DeWind, DeRustle, DeBuzz, DeClick, DePlosive, DeEss, and DeBird) tackles the noise problems that come up most in real-world recordings
- Machine-learning-powered DeNoise 2 and DeHum modules remove background noise and hum without manual noise-profile gathering
- Multitrack editing supports up to 7.1.2 channel surround with automation, cross-fades, and time-stretching
- ARA2 integration lets Acoustica's clip editor run directly inside DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic, and Cubase without exporting files back and forth
