What it is

Ample China Xun - ACX is a virtual instrument built from samples of the xun, an ancient Chinese ceramic wind instrument with a history stretching back over 7,000 years. It's sampled from a Zhuhong Jinlong Series 9-hole xun performed by Xiaokui Ding of the China National Traditional Orchestra, capturing the breathy, hollow tone the instrument is known for. Ample's Riffer 4 performance engine handles monophonic phrasing automatically and layers in AI-assisted vibrato and expression.

Who it's for

Composers scoring film, games, or documentaries who need an authentic East Asian wind instrument, plus producers building world-music or ambient tracks looking for a distinctive melodic voice.
