What it is
Andes Echo is a delay plugin from Épica Audio built around Latin rhythmic figures rather than the usual note-division grid. Each of its two independent channels can be set to one of 10 rhythmic patterns - syncopation, Scotch snap, gallop, triplet, and more - synced to host tempo with delay times from 1/16 to 1/2 note. Beyond timing, it layers in a CE-1-style chorus with triangular LFO modulation and a self-oscillation mode, so repeats can shift from clean rhythmic echoes to resonant, tonal textures.
Who it's for
Producers working in dub techno, experimental electronic, and other rhythm-focused styles who want delay patterns with more character than a stock quarter-note or dotted-eighth setting. Works well on drums, guitars, synths, vocals, and percussion where a groove-driven echo adds motion instead of just repeating the source.
Key features
- Dual independent left/right delay channels, each offering 10 selectable Latin-inspired rhythmic figures
- Per-channel feedback and low-pass filtering to tame or darken repeats
- Built-in chorus modeled on the CE-1's triangular LFO for added movement
- Self-oscillation mode that pushes the feedback path into resonant, tonal territory
- Tempo-synced delay times from 1/16 to 1/2 note across both channels
