What it is

CrestEngine: Bass is a specialized bass compressor plugin built around a peak-to-body ratio approach. Its two-stage compression engine controls dynamic range while preserving note articulation, and it adds pitch-tracked sub-octave generation and multi-mode saturation for shaping low end character.

Who it's for

Mix engineers and producers working on bass-heavy genres who need precise control over bass dynamics without losing punch or definition, plus anyone looking to reinforce or reshape low end with built-in sub generation and saturation.

Key features

• A Crest Target servo (2-20 dB) drives dual compression stages for tailored dynamic control
• Transient and sustain splitting lets you shape attack and sustain independently
• Pitch-tracked sub-octave generation adds unison or -1/-2 octave layers beneath the source
• Pre- and post-dynamics four-band tone EQ plus Mid Drive and Sub Saturation modes round out the tone shaping
