Double Slit Synth
The deal
$15 at KVR Marketplace (down from $150), 90% off. Deal runs through October 1, 2026.
What it is
Double Slit Synth is a synthesizer instrument from FreqElement built around a genuinely unconventional sound engine. Rather than modeling analog circuits or sampling real instruments, it generates audio by simulating the interference patterns and wave diffractions of the double-slit experiment from quantum physics. The result is a synth capable of producing anything from sublime, musical tones to totally out-there, chaotic mayhem, depending on how the wave parameters are pushed.
Who it's for
Sound designers, composers, and producers who want a signal source that doesn't sound like every other subtractive or wavetable synth on the market. It's a good fit for anyone scoring experimental, sci-fi, ambient, or abstract material and looking to build patches from a genuinely different starting point.
Key features
- A physics-based interference synthesis engine that produces textures no traditional oscillator or wavetable can replicate
- Range spans clean, musical tones to volatile, glitchy soundscapes in the same instrument
- Ships as a native VST3 and CLAP plugin for Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- This is FreqElement's first-ever release, with AAX and macOS/Linux support planned for a future update
