What it is

Drum MIDI Neo Soul is a collection of drum MIDI performances by session drummer Bill Burns, built to capture the feel of contemporary neo soul. The grooves are minimal in approach but rich in dynamics and natural nuance, with the loose, behind-the-beat touch the genre is known for. It is a MIDI extension, so it needs EZdrummer or Superior Drummer to play the files back.

Who it's for

Beat makers, songwriters and producers working in neo soul, R&B, lo-fi and hip hop who want human-sounding drum parts to build tracks around. It suits anyone already running EZdrummer or Superior Drummer who needs authentic grooves without programming them by hand.

Key features

• The pack includes 14 songs with more than 410 individually played MIDI files
• Tempos range from 56 to 108 BPM
• Grooves come in 4/4 and 6/8 time signatures, in both straight and swing variations
• It requires EZdrummer or Superior Drummer, plus a Toontrack registration and internet connection for license activation
