What it is

ECS2 is a channel strip plugin from Apogee, tuned by Bob Clearmountain and modeled after vintage 70s console hardware. It combines EQ, compression and saturation in one strip, so you can shape a track in a single insert. It leans toward a warm, musical console sound rather than a clinical one.

Who it's for

Mixers and producers who want a fast, all-in-one strip for vocals, drums, guitars and busses. It suits anyone who likes a classic console workflow without stacking several separate plugins.

Key features

• Three-band EQ with vintage-style modeling
• Compressor with automatic makeup gain
• Saturation control that goes from subtle warmth to obvious grit
• High-pass filter and support for AAX, AU and VST3 on macOS 13+ and Windows 10-11
