What it is

Electric Taishogoto Vol 01 is a Kontakt instrument built on the Taishogoto, also known as the Nagoya harp, a Japanese electric-era stringed instrument. It uses DI recordings with four velocity layers and three round robins for both up and down plucked notes, plus two key-press velocities for attack variation. The main patches run the instrument through real hardware such as overdrive pedals, reverb pedals, a guitar preamp and a vintage 90s guitar FX rack unit.

Who it's for

Producers and composers who want a distinctive plucked, zither-like texture for world, cinematic, ambient or lo-fi work. It suits anyone who wants an unusual string sound that already sounds processed and characterful.
