What it is
Ólafur Arnalds the Collection bundles all five of the Icelandic composer's Spitfire libraries: Cells, Chamber Evolutions, Composer Toolkit, Evolutions and Stratus. It is a Kontakt-based set built around felt piano recorded in Arnalds' Reykjavik studio, generative piano polyrhythms and evolving textures. The sound is intimate, cinematic and slightly hazy.
Who it's for
Film and TV composers, ambient and neoclassical producers, and anyone who wants a modern felt piano and hybrid string textures for emotive, atmospheric writing.
Key features
- Five libraries come in one bundle, with around 23,500 samples and 30.5 GB of content
- Generative piano polyrhythms and evolving textures give you ideas that play themselves
- The felt piano was recorded in the artist's own studio
- It runs in the free Kontakt Player 5.6.8 or higher, and the install needs about 86 GB of free disk space
