Lucid

The deal

$79 at Plugin Boutique (down from $129). The sale runs through October 31, 2026.

What it is

Lucid is a granular effect plugin from Minimal Audio that breaks incoming audio into tiny grains and rebuilds them into musical textures, harmonies, and rhythmic effects. Each grain can be tuned to a chosen key and scale in real time, so the results stay musical instead of drifting out of tune. It stretches, freezes, and replays audio in sync with your session.

Who it's for

Producers and sound designers who want to turn vocals, instruments, and drums into evolving pads, glitchy rhythms, and harmonized textures without losing tonal cohesion.

Key features

• Grain scale-locking tunes every grain to your selected key and scale
• Timeline synchronization keeps stretching, freezing, and playback locked to your session
• Per-grain filtering, drive, and modulation controls shape each grain independently
• It ships with 350+ searchable presets with performance-ready macros
