METAPIANO
The deal
$59 at KVR Marketplace (down from $89). Deal runs through October 31, 2026.
What it is
METAPIANO is a spectral-modeled grand piano instrument from Sampleson, built from recordings of a Japanese concert grand. Instead of looping samples, it analyzes and mathematically reconstructs over 64 groups of timbre components (hammer strikes, string resonance, note releases) to recreate the piano's sound in real time. The result is full, natural note decays with no velocity switching or looping artifacts.
Who it's for
Producers and composers who want a realistic acoustic grand piano without the massive sample-library file sizes and RAM overhead that usually come with it - useful for laptop-based setups, film/game scoring rigs, or anyone stacking multiple piano instances in a session.
Key features
- Full 88-note spectral modeling in roughly 60MB, keeping the CPU and disk footprint tiny compared to sampled pianos
- Natural full-length note decays with zero looping
- No velocity-switching artifacts or zero noise floor thanks to the modeling approach
- Includes impulse-response-based reverb for room and space control built into the instrument
