Mezza Coda is a Kontakt Player instrument from Sonora Cinematic capturing a baby grand piano with a vintage, gritty edge. Alongside the clean piano signal, it layers in a "Cassette" tone recorded by running the piano through an old Portastudio tape deck, plus a separate "Distbox" layer built by overdriving that same Portastudio's preamps for a raw, distorted texture. Built-in reverb and delay sends, a tilt-style Color knob, and three stereo mic pairs (room, ribbon, and condenser) let you shape the tone further.
