It splits the signal across low, mid, and high frequency bands, each with its own independent compressor and selectable auto gain, then routes everything through a post-compressor limiter to catch peaks the compression stage lets through. A dynamic transfer function display and built-in spectrum analyzer show exactly how the processing is reshaping the signal in real time, so adjustments are visual as well as audible.
