What it is
Odd Beats & Perc 2 is a 322-loop WAV sample pack from Cycles and Spots built around IDM-style percussive and rhythmic material. "Odd" is the operative word - the loops favor unusual, off-kilter rhythms and tonal textures that blur the line between straightforward percussion and disharmonic sound design, rather than standard four-on-the-floor drum loops. It's a sequel to the original Odd Beats & Perc pack, expanding the same sound world with a fresh batch of material.
Who it's for
IDM, glitch, and experimental electronic producers who want pre-built odd-metered percussion to construct tracks around quickly, plus sound designers hunting for raw rhythmic material to chop into one-shots or feed through granular and slicing tools.
Key features
- 322 WAV loops covering percussive and rhythmic IDM textures
- Loops range from straightforwardly rhythmic to harmonically ambiguous and disharmonic
- Drop full loops in for instant IDM composition, or slice individual hits into a kit
- Well suited as raw source material for granular synthesis and other creative sound processing
