What it is
Panorama Whitekirk is a Kontakt Player instrument from Sonora Cinematic, built from electric and semi-hollow guitars recorded inside a 900-year-old Scottish church. It's tuned for dreamy post-rock, shoegaze, and cinematic guitar sounds, spanning pristine clean tones to fuzzed-out, granular, reverb-soaked textures. Two distinct room acoustics are on offer: a warm, tight wooden-ceiling space and an expansive stone nave.
Who it's for
Composers and producers crafting atmospheric, cinematic, or experimental tracks who want realistic, spatial guitar ambience baked into the performance rather than added afterward with a reverb plugin.
Key features
- An interactive "walk and play" GUI lets you drag your listener position around a floor plan of the church and hear the acoustics change in real time as you play
- A mod wheel blends between two stereo mic mixes on the fly
- Custom effects include a plate reverb and two original "Atmos" textures, alongside captured pedalboard tones from the recording sessions
- The library includes 35 presets and full Native Kontrol System integration, and runs in the free Kontakt Player 8.9
