Atavism
The deal
Atavism is $29 directly from Parallel Minds through October 24, 2026, down from its regular $39 price. No coupon is needed. The one-time purchase includes one license for macOS and Windows, offline activation, and updates within the current major version. A full demo is available, with a two-second mute at the end of each minute.
What it is
Atavism is a spectral effect that turns the harmonic content of a track, bus, or full mix into a sustained pad. Transients fall away while held notes and partials continue, allowing the result to follow the source's chord changes without MIDI, note tracking, or manual triggering. It is designed as a distinct process rather than a conventional reverb, freeze, delay, or time stretcher.
Who it's for
It suits producers and composers building intros, breakdowns, ambient versions, cinematic beds, and supporting textures from material already in the session. It can replace a source at full wet or sit underneath it as a harmonic layer.
Key features
- The main Atavism control moves from the original track toward its extracted pad
- Pulsation adds evolving movement, Shimmer introduces an octave layer, and Mix blends the source and effect
- Low-cut and high-cut filters act only on the generated pad
- Eight factory presets provide starting points, while user presets work across VST3 and AU and all nine parameters support automation and MIDI learn
- The standard mode adds about 300 ms of DAW-compensated latency, while a 170 ms Short mode is available for playing through a send
