Phoenix
The deal
$199 at Spitfire Audio (down from $249). This is a 20% introductory offer on a brand-new release, and it runs until October 25, 2026.
What it is
Phoenix is a hybrid synthesizer from Spitfire Audio, designed with Grammy-nominated composer BT. It blends spectral wavetables, FM synthesis, sampling, subharmonic generation and noise oscillators, with a 40GB library of unusual recorded sources such as dulcimer, autoharp and granular strings. The result leans cinematic and evolving, with a lot of built-in movement.
Who it's for
Film and game composers, sound designers and electronic producers who want textured, moving pads, hybrid scoring layers and experimental sounds. It suits anyone who likes to dig into a deep synth engine rather than scroll through static presets.
Key features
- Six synthesis engines and 552 presets give you a large sonic palette out of the box
- A meta-sequencer with eight drawable sequences can act as envelopes for shaping movement
- Stereo synthesis runs independent chains per note, and there are 37 built-in effects
- It supports full MPE and ships as standalone, VST3, AU and AAX
