What it is
Rare Grooves Vol. 2 is an Elastik soundbank of 1970s-inspired funk and soul loops from Ueberschall. It captures the warm, analog character of live band recordings, with wah-heavy guitars, moving bass lines and dry, punchy drums. The library includes 704 loops across 5 construction kits, about 3 GB in total.
Who it's for
Producers working in funk, soul, hip-hop and neo-soul who want live-band grooves to build tracks around. It also suits anyone looking for vintage-flavored loops for film, TV or sample-based production.
Key features
- Mixed drum tracks come alongside individual drum elements (kick, snare, hi-hat, cymbals, toms, overheads and room)
- Guitar and bass are provided as both DI and mic'd/amped versions, so you can re-amp or use them as recorded
- Tempos sit in the 104-110 BPM range
- Elastik's ReTune algorithm gives key and scale control, and the bank runs in VST, VST3, AU, AAX and standalone formats
