Squelcher

The deal

$12 at Loot Audio (down from $39.90). The sale runs through October 7, 2026.

What it is

Squelcher is a bass-focused effect plugin built on spectral processing. It adds harmonics and digital grit to basslines and synths so thin, dull low end turns into something punchy and aggressive. It pairs a frequency splitter with a multiband compressor and treble saturation for shaping the whole tone.

Who it's for

Electronic producers who struggle to make basslines cut through a dense mix. Also useful for anyone who wants their low end to hold up on small speakers and laptops.

Key features

• A spectral digitizer handles the bass-centric processing, with multi-mode quality algorithms
• A frequency splitter with bass/treble tilt controls lets you balance low and high content
• Sub-harmonic enhancement helps bass translate to small speakers, and an integrated multiband compressor keeps dynamics in check
• It comes in VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats with factory presets, a PDF manual and a resizable, CPU-friendly interface
