SSL Reverb Collection

The deal

$39.99 at Best Service (down from $296). The store lists no end date for this offer, so it is not tied to a published countdown. The collection is a download that includes four plug-ins.

What it is

SSL Reverb Collection bundles four reverb plug-ins from Solid State Logic: FlexVerb, GateVerb, PlateVerb and SpringVerb. Together they cover flexible algorithmic reverb, non-linear gated reverb, classic plate and vintage spring sounds. It is built for everyday mixing work rather than one-off effects.

Who it's for

Mixing engineers and producers who want a small, focused set of reverbs from a name they know from the console world. It suits anyone who wants a plate, a spring and a gated option in one place for vocals, drums and guitars.

Key features

• FlexVerb includes a 6-band EQ, high and low pass filters, reverb time multipliers and an input sidechain compressor
• PlateVerb uses separate early and late reflection algorithms
• GateVerb offers detailed control over its non-linear gated reverb
• The plug-ins come in AAX Native, AU, VST2 and VST3 formats on Mac and Windows, and require iLok activation
