What it is
Love Lost is an effects-focused sound pack for Applied Acoustics Systems' Strum GS-2 virtual guitar instrument. Rather than clean strummed tones, it leans into pedalboard textures, pairing Strum's physically modeled guitar engine with fraying phasers, funky flangers, crooning chorus, rippling reverb, delirious delay, and demented distortion. The pack draws on dream pop, shoegaze, ambient, and drone/sludge metal for its sound design, and runs via the included AAS Player plugin, with Strum GS-2 itself sold separately as the host instrument.
Who it's for
Producers building shoegaze, dream pop, ambient, or heavier drone and sludge tracks who want washed-out, effects-drenched guitar textures without programming pedal chains from scratch. Also a fit for composers and sound designers who need atmospheric guitar layers rather than straightforward chord strumming, especially when a track calls for texture over precision.
Key features
- 12 distinct styles spanning genres from dream pop to sludge metal
- 84 ready-to-play presets paired with 84 matching strumming patterns for instant playability
- A wide effects palette covering phaser, flanger, chorus, reverb, delay, and distortion for heavily processed tones
- Runs through the included AAS Player plugin inside Strum GS-2's physically modeled guitar engine
