What it is

Velvet is iZotope's intelligent vocal de-esser, part of their Catalyst Series. It works by splitting the input signal into separate Sibilance and Tonal channels, so you can independently de-ess, de-click, and reshape only the parts of your vocal that need treatment. The result is consistently smooth, polished vocals without the lispy over-processing artifacts common with traditional de-essers.
