What it is
A software emulation of API's legendary 2500 stereo bus compressor, built by Universal Audio for UAD Native and Apollo/UAD-2 hardware. It uses Thrust sidechain filtering to keep low end from over-triggering the compressor, plus switchable Old (peak-detection) and New (feed-forward) circuit designs modeled from the original discrete op-amps and transformers.
