Whistles

The deal

$49.50 at Loot Audio (down from $99.00). The sale runs through October 1, 2026.

What it is

Whistles is a Kontakt instrument from Versilian Studios that samples three whistles: a high D, a C, and a low F. It captures breathy, natural whistle performances, from soft legato lines to trills and slides. It runs on Versilian's VISAGE 3 engine.

Who it's for

Composers and producers working in cinematic, folk, game, and film scoring who want a believable solo whistle voice. It also suits anyone who wants an organic melodic lead that sits outside the usual synth and flute palette.

Key features

• Three whistle instruments cover a wide pitch range, each with 12+ articulations including vibrato, trills, slides, and ornaments
• True Legato+ technology gives natural transitions between notes
• Six microphone positions can be blended for different tones and room character
• It requires the full version of Kontakt 7.6.1 or newer (not Kontakt Player) and about 18 GB of disk space
