What it is
XILS 4 is an analog matrix modular synthesizer that emulates the legendary EMS VCS4, a never-released prototype that combined two VCS 3 synthesis engines. It delivers deep, experimental analog character through 12 aliasing-free oscillators, dual zero-delay multimode filters, and over 1,140 possible patch connections per preset. The result is one of the most architecturally complex virtual instruments available, capable of sounds that range from classic analog warmth to completely uncharted sonic territory.
Who it's for
Sound designers and producers who want to go deep into modular synthesis without patching physical cables. XILS 4 is especially useful for experimental electronic music, cinematic scoring, and anyone whose sessions demand sounds that cannot come off a standard preset bank.
