What it is

Blofeld is the software version of Waldorf's most popular synthesizer, built around the same wavetable engine that defines the classic Waldorf sound. That engine traces its lineage to the PPG synthesizers of the early 1980s, producing the edgy, assertive, and bell-like timbres that have appeared on records across four decades. It also functions as a controller for physical Waldorf Blofeld hardware, with full compatibility with existing Blofeld soundsets.
