It models the bidirectional energy flow between resonators - strings, plates, drumheads, membranes, beams, bars, and tubes - producing organic timbres with acoustic character you cannot get from VA or FM synthesis. Think metallic percussion, resonant pads, and hybrid instruments that behave like real acoustic objects.
