$19 at KVR Marketplace (down from $39). Sale ends May 28, 2026.

What it is

Synbiosis is a 130-preset sound bank for Applied Acoustics Systems Chromaphone, a physical modeling synthesizer that generates sound by simulating the acoustic behavior of real-world resonators - strings, plates, membranes, bars, tubes, and more. Designed by sound designer Daniel Stawczyk, the collection spans arpeggiators, basses, bells, keys, synths, and effects, leaning into Chromaphone's ability to produce sounds that sit between acoustic and electronic - organic textures with a distinctive physical presence. It runs inside the free AAS Player plug-in, so no existing Chromaphone license is required.

Who it's for

Producers and sound designers looking for expressive, non-generic synth textures - especially those drawn to sounds that feel physically alive rather than purely digital. Synbiosis works well for cinematic, ambient, experimental, and left-of-center electronic music where tonal character and movement matter.

Key features

  • 130 presets spanning arpeggiators, basses, bells, keys, synths, and effects
  • Built on Chromaphone's physical modeling engine, which simulates acoustic resonators for sounds with natural harmonic behavior
  • Runs standalone in the free AAS Player - no Chromaphone license needed
  • Fifth installment in AAS Sound Bank Series, created by the same designer behind Transparency, Frontier, Cinematheque, and Starlight
