What it is

Deesser is a de-essing plugin from Softube built to reduce harsh sibilant frequencies - the sharp "s" and "sh" sounds that plague vocal recordings. It uses a frequency detection and relative threshold algorithm to catch and tame sibilance transparently, without noticeably coloring the rest of the signal. The interface pairs a frequency analyzer, waveform view, and gain reduction meter so you can see exactly what is being processed in real time.
