What it is
PolyM is XILS-Lab's circuit-modeled emulation of the legendary Polymoog, the 1970s polyphonic synthesizer behind some of the most iconic sounds in electronic music. It uses a proprietary Divide Down algorithm to faithfully reproduce the Polymoog's Top Octave Divider oscillators - the circuit architecture behind that unmistakable vintage polyphonic character. The Vox Humana sound popularized by Gary Numan's "Cars" is authentically recreated here, complete with resonant filter banks and a dedicated acoustic section.
Who it's for
Producers working in synthwave, new wave, film scoring, or any style that calls for authentic 1970s polyphonic textures - lush strings, haunting pads, and organs with that distinctive vintage bloom.
