UAD Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp is a circuit-modeled boutique amplifier emulation based on rare D-style amps hand-built from the 1970s through the 1990s. Universal Audio developed it through component-level analysis of the actual circuits, capturing how the amps behave at different gain stages and power section configurations. It ships in VST3, Audio Unit, and AAX formats and runs on standard Mac and Windows machines without a UADx interface.
