What it is
The UADx Woodrow '55 is a circuit-modeled simulation of a 1950s tweed guitar amplifier. Universal Audio built it from a full analysis of the original circuit - preamp, power tubes, tone stack, and output transformer - to reproduce the punchy cleans and tube-driven overdrive that made that amp famous. It ships with selectable mic and cabinet pairings so you can shape the recorded tone without touching a physical cab.
Who it's for
Guitar-playing producers and engineers who track electric guitar in a DAW and want a realistic vintage American amp sound without needing a physical amp, a mic, or an isolation room.
Key features
- Full circuit modeling from preamp through power tubes, tone stack, and output transformer - not a convolution shortcut

- Interchangeable microphone and speaker cabinet pairings for adjusting the recorded sound character
- Artist presets covering multiple genres, including blues, rock, and country styles
- Available in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats
