What it is
XILS V Plus is a circuit-modeled recreation of a classic analog string ensemble synthesizer - the type of hardware machine that defined lush, orchestral pads in 1970s and 1980s pop and rock recordings. It combines a Top Octave Divider (TOD)-based strings engine, a Human Voice section, and a 10-band vintage vocoder in a single instrument. XILS-lab's emulation preserves the aliasing-free character of the original TOD oscillator across the full frequency range.
Who it's for
Producers working in cinematic, ambient, synthwave, or classic analog-era styles who want authentic string ensemble textures that sit naturally in a mix. The built-in vocoder also makes it useful for electronic producers recreating 1970s and 1980s vocal effects.
